Back Then - Jenny Q's Herbals moved to Joshua Tree, CA, so that the owners could climb as much as possible. Becoming a part of the climbing community there, they were approached to make something that would allow climbers to get back on the rock day after day. The herbalist of the company, Jenny Q., finally deferred to the demands and came up with a potent salve. Joshua Tree Climbing Salve was born.  Joshua Tree Climbing Salve was tested out by the local community and taken into the Hidden Valley
Campground, an unofficial squat/hangout area within the Joshua Tree National Park. Climbers coming in from all over the world stopped into the local shops
and were introduced to this new product. Word spread like wildfire in the large, well networked climbing community of Joshua Tree. Sample Jars all over
town were emptied and 'dirt bag' climbers even forked out precious cash to have their own container, a true testimony. As summer approached and climbers
left in search of cooler areas, Joshua Tree Climbing Salve hitchhiked across the country and overseas to be introduced to virtually every climbing mecca in the world.
Soon enough, Jenny Q was receiving letters from all over the world, telling of the wonders of Joshua Tree Climbing Salve for hands roughed up from mountain biking, backpacking, carpentry and gardening. Many letters came from ice climbers and skiers, telling how the Climbing Salve saved their hands from cold and dry conditions. The word was out - Joshua Tree Climbing Salve is the most potent remedy the climbing world has seen. And Now - The company has moved to Michigan, under the ownership of David Lawrence, an avid climber, long time J-Tree user, and environmentally minded entrepreneur. In the spring of 07, Dave and a few climbers were enjoying some beers around the campfire after a long day of climbing in the Red River Gorge - discussing the amazing potential of this unique product. The next day, karma struck for Dave and Jenny Q. She was looking to sell the company, and he was the perfect match she had envisioned to entrust with her venture.
